New Accelerated Reader quizzes this fall
The Accelerated Reader program motivates students by allowing them to choose their own books, fostering a sense of autonomy and personal interest that enhances their engagement and enthusiasm for reading. This summer, the Accelerated Reader team produced over 700 new Accelerated Reader quizzes to help motivate students to read more and build language comprehension and word recognition skills identified by the Science of Reading. Students will find new Reading Practice quizzes on their favorite continuing series, engaging nonfiction titles, and a variety of graphic novels at all interest levels.
New Accelerated Reader quizzes for popular series
Popular book series increase student motivation to read by nurturing strong connections with characters and ongoing storylines, creating anticipation and a sense of achievement. Additionally, the social aspect of discussing these series with peers enhances engagement and encourages further reading.
Newly quizzed books in popular series include Bright Star from the Adventure Friends series by Brandon Todd (Quiz No. 523904), The Academy II: The Journey Continues from the Academy series by T.Z. Layton (Quiz No. 550581), The Notorious Scarlett & Browne from the Scarlett and Browne series by Jonathan Stroud (Quiz No. 523923), and All This Twisted Glory from the This Woven Kingdom series by Tahereh Mafi (Quiz No. 550519).

New Accelerated Reader quizzes for nonfiction titles
Nonfiction books increase student motivation to read by catering to diverse interests and providing real-world knowledge, making reading more engaging and relevant. Students can find Accelerated Reader quizzes for nonfiction books in over 1000 topics and subtopics that fit their interests.
Freshly quizzed nonfiction books include Ice Cream Man: How Augustus Jackson Made a Sweet Treat Better by Glenda Armand (Quiz No. 550128), Born Naughty: My Childhood in China by Jin Wang (Quiz No. 550367), Just Don’t Fall: A Hilariously True Story of Childhood Cancer and Olympic Greatness by Josh Sundquist (Quiz No. 550331), and Numb to This: Memoir of a Mass Shooting by Kindra Neely (Quiz No. 550429).

New Accelerated Reader quizzes for graphic novels
Accelerated Reader offers quizzes on over 6,600 graphic novels, and, in the past two years, students took these quizzes over 35 million times. Graphic novels employ dynamic illustrations and visual storytelling to make the reading experience more appealing and accessible, especially for reluctant readers.
Recently quizzed graphic novels include Saving Sunshine by Saadia Faruqi (Quiz No. 523215), Buzzing by Samuel Sattin (Quiz No. 523411), Rise of the Cat from the HiLo series by Judd Winick (Quiz No. 523670), and Lost in Taiwan by Mark Crilley (Quiz No. 523530).
