Our mission

At Renaissance, our mission is, “To accelerate learning for all children and adults of all ability levels and ethnic and social backgrounds, worldwide.”

This mission calls for us to make a positive social impact not only for our students, but for our employees and the communities we serve. That is why we are committed to accelerating learning for all by building a Renaissance for all.

Our approach

At Renaissance, we are committed to making a social impact in three ways:

  1. By building a collaborative workplace where all employees feel valued and like they belong.
  2. By creating inclusive and responsive learning experiences for all.
  3. By giving back to the communities we serve through volunteerism and by championing sustainability.

Renaissance’s Inclusion Council—a group of employees who represent different identities, locations, job levels, and functions from across the company—is helping to shape and implement this strategy.

How we live our values

We have created social impact that involves people throughout the organization and is embedded within the very structure of Renaissance. Renaissance proudly:

  • Supports employee-led groups that foster connection, mentorship, and shared purpose.
  • Collaborates with partners to broaden our reach and attract exceptional talent.
  • Requires all candidates to complete a skills-based and structured interview process.
  • Provides training that strengthens communication, leadership, and collaboration across teams.
  • Tracks and communicates the results of our annual culture and engagement survey, to assess how best to focus our efforts.
  • Provides each employee with two paid volunteer days and helps organize local meetups for employees to give back to their communities together.
  • Donates to numerous organizations to support education in local communities.
  • Tracks data related to sustainability and partners with organizations to help reduce our environmental footprint.

Employee-led communities

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led communities formed around shared interests, experiences, or goals. These groups foster connection, support, and shared learning across the organization.

Each ERG is open to all, is sponsored by a member of the senior leadership team, and is provided with the resources needed to build community and drive positive impact at Renaissance. Our ERGs create supportive communities for employees with varying identities, experiences, and needs, with ERGs focused on mental health, parents and caregivers, professional development, neurodiverse individuals, and other demographic groups.
