ELA Focus Skills Practice
We know that identifying student skill gaps and providing the right practice to close them is crucial for students’ academic growth and success. That’s why we’ve built ELA Focus Skills Practice in Freckle. Adapted from our successful Math practice program, this feature helps instructors seamlessly address students’ needs based on accurate assessment data from the Star Reading Assessment.
ELA Focus Skills practice offers:
- Integrated data: Star Reading assessment data is integrated with Freckle practice data to help identify critical skill gaps and choose the right Focus Skills to target.
- Automatic assignments: ELA Focus Skills Practice saves you time by automatically assigning practice on the most foundational Focus Skills in ELA at the “just-right” level to help students catch up to grade-level standards.
- Continued practice: Once students catch up on Focus Skills, they can continue to practice and review the critical Focus Skills in ELA at their grade level or move on to practice new skills in ELA Skills Practice.
New targeted assignment features
Our new targeted assignment features are designed to give teachers more control and precision in their teaching. Customize assignments to fit the unique needs of your classroom, ensuring every student gets the support they need to succeed.
New features include the following:
- Customize assignment questions: Tailor assignments to meet your students’ specific needs. Now, you can choose the length of the assignment and handpick the questions included.
- Assign entire standards: Ensure comprehensive coverage and practice by assigning entire standards to students, as shown below:
Expanded content coverage
We’ve also broadened our content library to cover more standards and standard sets than ever before. This means no matter where you are or what standards you are using, Freckle for ELA supports you.
