Accelerate instruction with the new Star Assessments to Nearpod connection
Educators often ask, “I’ve tested my students—now what”? Teachers want more than assessment results; they want data and insight that informs their decisions and easily accessible resources to support classroom instruction. With connected assessment and instructional solutions, teachers have what they need to ensure optimal learning outcomes for all students.
For these reasons, we’re excited to announce that Star Assessments users now have access to Nearpod resources directly in Star!
- What are my students ready to learn next?
- How do I spend less time planning and more time teaching?
- How can I find an easier way to access appropriate resources to address certain skills?
- How can I keep my students engaged in their learning?
How the new Star-Nearpod connection works
Start with Star Assessments to get an overall picture of students’ reading and math ability. Then, click the new “Plan Instruction with Nearpod” button in the Star Record Book:
Star provides recommended skills for the whole class, small groups, or individual students—allowing you to tailor instruction to what students are ready to learn next:
Once you’ve made a selection, you’ll have access to thousands of curated, high quality resources from Nearpod—including engaging lessons, activities, and videos—aligned to your state’s learning skills and standards, to help you confidently guide instruction and practice:
If you’re using the English versions of Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, Star Math, and/or Star CBM, you have access to the Nearpod lesson library at no additional cost. Note that Star Math recommends resources in the Nearpod Math Program, in addition to the Nearpod lesson library. A paid Nearpod Math Program license is required in order to access the program content or resources.
