Frequently asked questions

How are diverse learners supported?

Students are automatically placed into one of three readiness groups—core concepts, prerequisite skills, and enrichment pathway—per curriculum unit, based on comprehensive assessment and practice data. This automated grouping enables educators to deliver targeted, high-quality instruction tailored to each student’s needs.

How are resources surfaced?

Renaissance Intelligence and Renaissance Next identify and recommend high-quality resources aligned to each student’s needs within your core curriculum, helping educators efficiently answer the question: What does this student need next?

What resources are available to support all students?

Educators can select from a library of high-quality instructional and practice materials from Renaissance, all curated to meet the unique needs of each readiness group, ensuring every student receives quality, targeted support that drives growth.

Will there be additional curriculum partners or alignments?

We are continuously expanding our network of featured partners and curriculum alignments to further support educators and students.

Do I need separate licenses or subscriptions to access partner assessment content?

Partner assessment content availability depends on your existing agreements with the assessment content partner. We must confirm your existing agreement with the publisher prior to providing access. If your district already licenses the curriculum, contact your Renaissance representative to learn about enabling the assessment integration in DnA or SchoolCity.

Can I use partner assessment content for both formative and summative purposes?

Yes. Districts have full flexibility in how they deploy partner assessment content, whether for quick formative checks, unit assessments, interim benchmarks, or end-of-course summative measures. The content serves your assessment strategy based on your district’s instructional and accountability needs.

Can I customize or modify partner assessment items?

Partner assessment items maintain their integrity as designed by the curriculum provider to ensure alignment with instructional materials and standards. However, districts retain full flexibility in how they use the content, including selecting specific items, creating custom test forms, setting administration windows, and determining score reporting preferences within DnA or SchoolCity.
