Assignment Creator
Assignments, previously called Projects, now incorporate assignment features onto a single page for faster and easier assignment development and navigation:
- Book Bag offers a quick way to collect books to add to an assignment or forward as reading recommendations.
- The Recording feature is now available within the Assignment Creator, enabling teachers to monitor students’ oral reading fluency progress by having students record themselves reading aloud.
- An easy-to-use Student Selector enables teachers to quickly select individual students, small groups, or whole classes for assignments.
- The new Preview button allows teachers to view assignments prior to publishing, and a clearly marked Save button is now on the page.
- The redesigned Assignment Organizer helps teachers save time by categorizing their assignments as “Active,” “Drafts,” and “Archived.” A new filter and search assists in locating assignments within the teacher account.
- The revised View Progress page now provides in-depth reporting across assignment activities by student, including time spent reading, recording duration, and completion by activity. It also gives teachers the ability to provide feedback for each activity assigned.
myON Made Assignments
Based on myON’s most popular and inclusive texts in the Core collection, myON Made assignments are premade and skill- and standards-aligned. Each assignment contains 3–5 activities, providing teachers with an efficient and effective way to help students build literacy skills aligned with the Science of Reading. myON Made assignments can be found in the Shared Assignments portal, along with assignments developed by other teachers.
These exciting new updates in myON underscore Renaissance’s commitment to help educators See Every Student and strengthen literacy achievement for all, as supported in the latest myON impact study.
