Expanded AI-powered insights in Renaissance Next for Leaders
Earlier this year, we introduced a new AI-powered feature in Renaissance Next for Leaders, Explain It, to simplify data interpretation for Star Assessments and help education leaders make faster, more informed decisions. Now, we’re excited to share that Explain It is expanding to additional Star metrics. In addition to Student Growth Percentile (SGP) tiles, you’ll now find the “Explain It” button on State and District benchmark tiles as well:

What is Explain It?
With a single click, Explain It opens a pop-up window that provides a natural language summary of your data in 3–5 concise bullet points that highlight key takeaways and 1–2 suggested focus areas. It’s like having a data analyst at your fingertips, helping you quickly understand what your data is saying and where to act.
Why this new feature matters
We know that district and school leaders are pressed for time. Deep data analysis often gets pushed aside, leading to missed opportunities or misinterpretation. Explain It removes that barrier, offering:
- Clarity without complexity
- Actionable insights in seconds
- Support for confident, data-informed decisions
As AI becomes a standard in education technology, this expansion reflects our commitment to delivering accessible, intelligent tools at no additional cost to Renaissance Next for Leaders users.
Update to What Your Kids Are Reading Shareable Story
We are also excited to announce that the What Your Kids Are Reading (WYKAR) Shareable Story has been updated to reflect your 2024-2025 school year data. This report highlights reading activity from myON and/or Accelerated Reader, offering a compelling, visual way to showcase literacy progress across your district.

Now is a great time to reflect on last year’s reading activities and:
- Explore the updated report
- Share it with your community
- Celebrate how your efforts are driving reading engagement and achievement
This WYKAR Shareable Story is a powerful tool for communicating impact and reinforcing your district’s commitment to literacy.
These latest updates to Renaissance Next for Leaders are part of our ongoing mission to support education leaders with tools that are not only powerful, but also illuminate the impact of Renaissance products and support strategic decisions that drive stronger outcomes across the district. We’re excited to see how you’ll use them to drive progress this school year.
