Facilitate targeted instruction using DnA’s new Multi Trait Rubric
We are excited to introduce Multi Trait Rubric to DnA’s New Item Bank. With Multi Trait Rubric, teachers can now provide detailed feedback to students on their strengths and weaknesses in each area of assessment. This helps teachers to tailor their instruction and support based on the individual needs identified through the rubric.
This new scoring tool further gives teachers the ability to:
- Evaluate each criterion independently, providing a more nuanced understanding of students’ performance that helps students understand exactly where they excel and where they need to focus on improvement.
- Facilitate targeted instruction by highlighting specific areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all students are assessed based on the same standards.
Multi Trait Rubric breaks down assessment items into various components that have its own set of criteria and levels of achievement:
The benefits of Multi Trait Rubric
- Ability to specify the number of scales and traits, and to include descriptors for each all-in-one view.
- Option to have multiple scales with different max point values and different numbers of traits, which all total up for a cumulative item score.
- Addition of labels to each scale and trait for increased ease of grading and to provide a similar look as standardized tests.
