Strengthen outcomes for English learners
With rapidly changing demographics, Title III has become an increasingly important piece of district funding. See how you can use this funding to help your English learners master English with the help of Renaissance products and to provide professional development designed to improve the instruction and assessment of English learners.
Title III funds are used to improve the language proficiency and academic achievement of English learners and for activities that increase the knowledge and skills of their teachers. Language instruction education programs offered to English learners must be driven by data on their unique needs. Renaissance offers the only assessments of reading and math that provide side-by-side English and Spanish comparisons of students’ skills, allowing you to determine whether their performance reflects a language issue, a content issue, or both—and plan instruction accordingly.
Spanish versions of Renaissance Accelerated Reader® and Renaissance Accelerated Math® provide the practice to help English learners meet the same challenging State academic standards that all students are expected to meet. Renaissance myON® Reader and Renaissance myON® News, powered by News -O-Matic, improve students’ mastery of English, regardless of their native language. These products provide support for language development at home, including video tutorials and student progress reports in Spanish.
A major component of Title III funding relates to professional development. Renaissance-U®’s assessment course suite delivers content to effectively use Star Spanish assessments, analyze the data they provide, and improve instruction plans based on data. The “Understanding English Learners” course and tutorials specific to supporting English learners with Renaissance products round out professional development options to enhance your ability to implement curricula, assessment measures and practices, and instructional strategies for students who are learning English.
