Tiyi Smith
Tiyi Smith began her career in public education as a special education teacher across all grade levels serving students in self-contained and general education classrooms in El Paso, Texas for 16 years. She served as the instructional coach for special education for a high school campus and finally as a district facilitator for special education for high schools. She also served as the liaison between the district’s dual language program and special education collaborating with district curriculum personnel to ensure that success was attainable for all students regardless of background or disability status. As an educator, Tiyi, used several Renaissance products including AR, myON and STAR Reading and Math. Making Renaissance the next step in her journey to ensure that education opportunities extend to all students.
