Dr. Xiaoying Ma’s years of educational testing and bi-literal experience will be key to international growth and our mission to accelerate learning for all.
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (Jan. 23, 2020) – Renaissance®, the global leader in pre-K–12 education technology, today announced Dr. Xiaoying Ma as a new Senior Psychometrician. Dr. Ma brings a strong assessment background to Renaissance, along with personal and professional experience as a bi-literate professional (Chinese and English).
Prior to joining Renaissance, Dr. Ma was employed at Questar Assessment, where she worked on K–12 testing programs for Mississippi, New York, Tennessee, and Utah. Dr. Ma also worked at Educational Testing Service (ETS) for more than 10 years. Her focus at ETS was on international testing programs, including the Test of English International Communication (TOEIC) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a Doctorate in Psychometrics.
In her new role as Senior Psychometrician at Renaissance, Dr. Ma will work hand-in-hand with the Psychometrics team on Renaissance’s assessment products, including the award-winning Star Assessments, which are used in more than one-third of schools nationwide. She will also play an important role in Renaissance’s international efforts and biliteracy strategy.
