Natural disasters have had a devastating impact on those living in the Houston area, Florida, and regions of the West over the past couple weeks. We have been monitoring the images and news stories coming out of these areas, and it is heartbreaking to see the significant damage hurricanes and wildfires have caused in these locations.
Also, we have been in close contact with our customers and Renaissance colleagues in these areas to offer our support. Our thoughts remain with all those who have been affected by these natural disasters, and we understand that these are difficult times for you, your colleagues, your students, and their families. We want you to know that we are here for you, whenever you need us.
We understand that your Renaissance solutions may not be at the forefront of your concerns during this challenging time. Yet, we want you to know that once you are ready for our support, we are here to answer your questions and address any difficulties you may be experiencing. The Renaissance team has also demonstrated support by stepping up in a huge way over the past couple weeks—together, they have donated more than $20,000 to disaster relief agencies. To help make these donations go even further, Renaissance matched these employee contributions, making an overall donation of $40,000 to relief efforts. In addition to our financial support, Renaissance has donated books and supplies to schools and shelters in Houston, and is committed to assisting other areas impacted by natural disasters with these materials as well.
