The lowdown on the Renaissance Growth Alliance

By Sally Searby, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

The perfect combination

Eggs and bacon. Bagels and cream cheese. Peanut butter and jelly. Think about these partnerships for a moment. Besides making you hungry, what do they have in common? Eggs are good on their own, but add bacon? A whole ‘nother level. Bagels without cream cheese? Good, but not great. Peanut butter without jelly? That’s just a crime. Each of these showcases the true power of partnerships. Besides, isn’t your breakfast so much more rewarding when you combine the best of the best to create something even better?

Introducing the Renaissance Growth Alliance. Bringing together thought-leading instructional providers with our leading Renaissance Star Assessments, the Renaissance Growth Alliance provides more choice for our customers and a seamless journey to personalizing learning for each and every student.

Best-in-class instruction

Leading the way in assessment-driven instruction and practice, the Renaissance Growth Alliance accelerates learning on a grand scale. The Renaissance Growth Alliance brings best-in-class instruction to our products, providing integrated solutions spanning assessment, planning, instruction, and practice. This collaboration between instructional providers combines the impacts of individual solutions to create a 360-degree view of student growth and performance.

At Renaissance, teachers are at the heart of everything we do. We want to provide teachers with the most efficient, effective assessment planning possible to drive classroom instruction and give them time back to focus on what they truly do best—creating energizing learning experiences in the classroom. Using data from Renaissance Star 360®, every student is placed at the right level in our partners’ curricula. The Renaissance Growth Alliance enables our customers to use Star Assessments with the instructional curriculum of their choice—and that’s huge. But we go deeper. For our customers using Renaissance Flow 360®, the Renaissance Growth Alliance will facilitate lesson planning and help them develop instruction. In addition, it will provide a complete view of each student’s mastery of state standards and skill level at group or individual levels.

By bringing best-in-class instruction into Renaissance Flow 360, the Renaissance Growth Alliance serves as a unique, powerful assessment-driven instruction solution for teachers, allowing them to choose their content and giving them the ability to plan and assign lessons in one place, providing a unique and powerful solution. Renaissance Flow 360 represents the next generation of Renaissance products, giving teachers everything they need to provide a personalized learning experience for every student.

All this leads to:

  • Meaningful, actionable data to assess student proficiency at any skill level

  • Integrated solutions for customers bringing together assessment, instruction, and analytics

  • Partner content aligned to the Renaissance Universal Skills Pool and mapped to skills

  • A seamless journey to providing personalized learning and growth for all students

I heard about Flow as helping to facilitate lesson planning and even with grading assignments. With so many cut backs, I will be extremely pleasantly surprised if my county will pay for that extra support. Fingers crossed!

  8. P R says:

FLOW sounds like a great tool. However, I would assume that many districts are tied by a strict budget that would limit their ability to purchase this tool. Then again, the administration of districts ask that we individualize student instruction. This program seems like a great way to achieve that goal.

  9. Andrea says:

Individualized instruction based on data…….sounds like a great plan!

  12. P R says:

FLOW is a great idea. However, many school districts are being given smaller budgets which prohibits them in purchasing such programs. Individualization of instruction is beneficial to the student, but it is hard to achieve without funding to support initiatives like FLOW. I would like to be able to use it myself.
