Tax Information

Items included in your order may be subject to your state & local sales, transaction privilege, gross receipts, or excise tax. Any applicable tax is subject to change without notice and will be added to your invoice. At this time, Renaissance Learning collects tax in: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, KY, MN, NC, NM, NV, NY, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, WA, and WI. Hawaii residents please add the 4.16% (4.712% Oahu Is. residents) general excise tax to your order. New Mexico residents please add the 7.4375% (Rio Rancho – Location Code: 29-524) gross receipts tax to your order. If you are exempt from the tax, please provide a valid and correct tax exemption certificate. For current tax status, call (800) 338-4204.

United States government and agency transactions into Arizona & New Mexico: The incidence of the tax is on Renaissance Learning. Since the tax is not directly imposed on the United States, the constitutional immunity of the United States does not apply.

Purchase Orders

You may mail or fax us a fully executed purchase order with approved number. Purchase orders are billed net 30 days. Sorry, we cannot accept verbal purchase orders.

Warranty/Replacement Policy

Our 30-Day No-Risk Guarantee

We understand that buying a new software package can be intimidating. That is why if you are not satisfied with any of our software or hardware for any reason, simply return within 30 days for a prompt refund. The 2Know! Classroom Response System may be returned within 60 days. It is that simple.

Software

Renaissance Learning warrants that the CDs on which the program and quizzes are recorded are free from defects in materials and workmanship. Renaissance Learning will replace user-damaged CDs for a nominal charge plus processing and shipping fees.

Hardware

Renaissance Learning warrants that its hardware products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of up to one (1) year. All unopened, undamaged merchandise may be returned or exchanged at no charge during the first 30 days after invoice date. The 2Know! Classroom Response System may be returned within 60 days. Renaissance Learning will repair or replace user-damaged hardware for a nominal charge plus processing and shipping fees.

Warranty Information for NEO, Dana, 2Know! Classroom Response System, and Rechargeable Devices

Renaissance Learning, Inc. (RLI) warrants each Dana, and 2Know! Classroom Response System sold by RLI to be free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use and service beginning with the date of delivery to the purchaser.

This warranty is subject to the following conditions:

The warranty period for Dana, and 2Know! Classroom Response System is classified as one (1) year and is limited to the replacement or repair during the warranty period and subject to conditions enumerated below, of such product returned intact which shall appear to RLI, upon inspection, to have been defective in material or workmanship.

NEO and NEO 2 include a 1-year warranty on all parts and labor (excluding rechargeable batteries).

For rechargeable devices, RLI warrants the rechargeable battery to be free from defects for 90 days from the date of original purchase.

Replacement or repair will be accomplished at one of the Renaissance Distribution Centers. Such replacement shall be made free of charge if a defect becomes apparent and RLI is notified within the warranty period.

This warranty does not include any taxes, which may be due in connection with replacement or repair, nor any installation, transportation, or postage costs to return the unit to RLI.

This warranty does not cover repair or replacement because of damage from unreasonable use (damage from road hazards, accident, fire or other casualty, misuse, negligence, incorrect wiring, lightning, etc.) and any use or installation not in conformance with instructions furnished by RLI or repairs or replacement needed because of modifications not authorized or supplied by RLI.

Warranty Information for AlphaSmart 3000

Renaissance Learning, Inc. (RLI) warrants the AlphaSmart 3000 keyboard and display to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase.

During this period, if a defect should occur, RLI will, at its option, repair or replace the AlphaSmart 3000 at no charge to you, provided that it is returned during the warranty period to RLI or one of its authorized resellers. This warranty does not apply if the AlphaSmart 3000 has been damaged by accident or abuse, modified without written permission of RLI, or if identifying marks (including serial numbers) or seals been removed or defaced.

There are no other warranties, express or implied. RLI accepts no responsibility for consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profit or benefits.

This warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose. Remedies under this warranty are expressly limited to the provision of products as specified above and any claims for loss arising out of the failure of products to perform for any period of time, or special, indirect, or consequential damages or other economic loss are expressly excluded.

Books and Videos

Books and videos are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Renaissance Learning will replace books and videos found to be defective. All unopened, undamaged merchandise may be returned or exchanged at no charge during the first 30 days after invoice date.
