Students nationwide celebrate reading as participants in Renaissance’s annual ReadQuest event

Ready, set, read!

Last week on Friday, March 3, 2017, tens of thousands of students nationwide took part in ReadQuest. An annual event, ReadQuest celebrates the power of reading—and the incredible places it takes us.

Students read books, nonfiction articles, and took Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360® quizzes on what they had read to contribute to the national reading effort. Over the course of the day, students took an astounding 3,719,043 quizzes! (Great job, students!)

On the ReadQuest website, students were able to see their quizzes count toward the live books-read ticker, participate in a poll question and see the results in real-time, and stay updated on the randomly-selected winners drawn throughout the day. Leading up to the event, educators were encouraged to share their students’ reading adventures on social media as well.
