New look, same mission: Introducing the fresh face of Renaissance

On behalf of every one of Renaissance’s 950 employees, I am thrilled to unveil a new, fresh face for Renaissance, one that you’ll be able to see on www.renaissance.com in a week as well as in our software and marketing materials over the coming months. It’s all part of a brand “refresh”—an updated expression of who we are and what we do.

Just as teachers are champions for students in Rita Pierson’s quote above, Renaissance has always been a champion for teachers and educators. We’re in the educational technology business, but have always believed—and continue to believe—that teachers are the heart of any classroom. Teachers have the awe-inspiring and challenging opportunity to change the lives of their students, and we wanted to find a way to show this through our branding—the joy, the motivation, the amazement, and the pride that happens when students and teachers find that passion.

Like teachers, we are problem solvers in the service of learning—and our innovation is rooted in a simple purpose—to accelerate learning for all. At Renaissance, we believe that everyone can be a successful learner, and to that end, we strive to create relevant, responsive solutions for educators that create phenomenal student growth.

There will be plenty of noticeable changes to Renaissance over the coming months, with our website leading the charge. Here’s a look at just a few of the elements that are new and improved:

Refreshed, intuitive website navigation
Your time is precious—and when you’re searching for resources on our website, we want you to easily locate the information you need. That’s why we took a close look at our current website’s navigation and created a revised site architecture to make things easier to locate.

Focus on relevant, helpful content
One of our brand pillars is a simple, four-word sentence—we put teachers first. What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means we don’t go around you, or speak for you—we listen carefully to you, and are always available to help, whether that’s a question about a specific solution we offer or simply by providing valuable information about the topics that matter the most to you. Whether it’s the latest news about assessment, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), tips on engaging your students in reading or math practice, or thoughts on current education trends, our goal is to provide you with the information that’s going to help solve your challenges.

Inclusive events calendar
Our Events team at Renaissance are rockstars, coordinating over 700 state-specific, regional, and national events in a calendar year. Our revitalized website has made it possible to create a full list of events that is searchable and makes it much easier to take a look at the events going on in your area.

Smoother mobile experience
With approximately one-third of website traffic coming from mobile devices, it’s safe to say that the desktop computer is no longer the primary area of focus. We’ve created a better mobile experience by paying extra attention to our site’s mobile user experience, optimizing page load times, creating better search functionality, and simply making things easier to navigate and creating the same seamless experience that you’d have on a desktop or laptop computer.

She also built the brand and message platform to establish a growing thought leadership program. Prior to joining Tealium, she was Senior Vice President of Marketing for CA, Inc., where she managed a broad portfolio of IT management products. She also worked at NetApp, most recently as Vice President of Marketing. Tracy earned a BA in communication from Mills College, Oakland, CA, and a MA in technical and professional writing from Northeastern University in Boston.
